Tyquan Thornton is a 24-year-old professional American football player. He was signed by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft as their 50th pick. As far as his position in the field goes, he plays in the wide receiver position. Thornton initially joined the University of Florida to begin his college football career, however, he later shifted to Baylor University.

Thornton played for Baylor University from 2018 to 2021, he recorded 143 receptions for 2242 yards and secured 19 touchdowns. When he entered the NFL combine in 2022, he recorded an unofficial 4.21 in the 40-yard dash. While it would've been an NFL combine record, it was later ruled that he did the dash in 4.28. He kicked off his journey with the Patriots on a sour note as he was placed on injury reserves on September 1st, 2022. After being activated on October 8, 2022, he scored his first receiving and rushing touchdowns in week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.
