After going undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers signed him as an undrafted free agent. As of December 26, 2024, Koo has been placed on injured reserve and has made 179 field goals, with the longest field goal of 58 yards and 91 touchbacks (via Pro Football Reference). Before joining the Falcons in 2019, Koo played for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017 and spent a brief time on the New England Patriots practice squad in 2019.
