JaVale Lindy McGee was drafted by the Washington Wizards with the 18th overall pick in the NBA draft of 2008. He has played for teams like Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets, Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings in his career so far. The veteran center has won the NBA championship thrice - in 2017 and 2018 with the Warriors and in 2020 with the Lakers. He was also the league leader in field goal percentage in 2017 playoffs (73.2%) and in the 2022 playoffs (70.0%).

Throughout the 2022/23 season, McGee played 42 games with the Dallas Mavericks and averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, and shot 64.0% from the field, including 40.0% from the deep end. This offseason, he signed a one year deal with the Sacramento Kings.

McGee will hope to win his fourth NBA championship with the Sacramento Kings, alongside Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox, in the 2023/24 season.
