WATCH: Foles catches TD pass in Super Bowl trick play
The Philadelphia Eagles took a risk late in the first half of Super Bowl LII, and Nick Foles made history.
Foles became the first quarterback to catch a touchdown pass in the Super Bowl as the Eagles led the New England Patriots at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday.
Facing a fourth-and-goal with 38 seconds remaining, the Eagles opted to take a chance instead of going for a field goal.
The trick play saw Trey Burton throw a touchdown pass to Foles as Philadelphia held a 22-12 half-time lead.
Earlier, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was unable to hold onto a pass as New England gambled on an unconventional third-down call.
