The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Heyward as the 31st overall pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Heyward was born on the 6th of May, 1989, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The football talent was discovered early when he joined Peachtree Ridge High School. The senior year of high school was the best year that Heyward played at high school.
