Skattebo rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown, completed two of his three passing attempts for 42 yards, and hauled in 79 receiving yards and a touchdown against USC in week four of the 2023 season. Skattebo won the Doak Walker Running Back of the Week award, the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week award, and the AP National Player of the Week award. In 2024, he became the first Big 12 player to record 1500 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in the same season.
