James Earl Conner is an American football running back for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 NFL season. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected him as the 105th overall pick in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Before joining the Cardinals in 2021, he spent his first four years with the Steelers. His best year with the Steelers came in 2018, when he rushed for 973 yards and added another 497 receiving yards. After leaving for Arizona, Conner has had two seasons with 750 plus rushing yards. But his breakthrough season came in 2023, when he rushed for over 1000 yards. Conner has recorded 5,739 rushing yards in his career, as of week 14 of the 2024 NFL season (via Pro Football Reference).

During his collegiate career with the Pittsburgh Panthers, Conner received First-team All-ACC honors in 2014 and 2016 respectively. During his sophomore year, he received First-team All-American honors, ACC Player of the Year and ACC Offesnice Player of the Year after rushing for 1,765 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2014. Conner was born on 5th May, 1995, in Erie, Pennsylvania. His football career began at McDowell High School in Millcreek Township, Pennsylvania.
