Born in Medina, Ohio, Juszczyk attended Cloverleaf High School located in Lodi, Ohio during his formative years. While at Cloverleaf High School, Kyle Juszczyk took part in football as a tight end for the Cloverleaf Colts.

After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Harvard University and committed to playing college football for the Harvard Crimson, where he was part of the team from 2009 to 2012. He concluded his collegiate career with 125 receptions for 1,576 yards and 22 touchdowns.
