Nate Wiggins

Nate Wiggins went to the Baltimore Ravens with the 30th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He played his college football for the Clemson Tigers and was the cornerback for the team. He only attended three years of college and started his collegiate football career in 2021 and played till 2023. Wiggins was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and was the seventh-best cornerback prospect. He had initially committed to play college football for LSU but changed to Clemson four days before the national day of signing.

Wiggins started his college football career slower than what was expected but at the same time, he also only played for four games in his true freshman season. In 2021, Wiggins had a solo tackle, and an assisted tackle, with 2 passes defended. Despite a slow start, Wiggins showed out in 2022 where he had 26 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, a single interception, 98 interception return yards, and one interception touchdown. In his final season with Clemson in 2023, Wiggins had 28 total tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, 2 interceptions, and one interception return touchdown.

Wiggins did not have the best start to his collegiate football career as he was reportedly called immature by Tigers’ head coach Dabo Swinney. However, he came back stronger the next season and really blossomed into a star. Wiggins helped the Clemson Tigers win the 2022 ACC Championship Game where he had a 98-yard Pick-Six, which is the longest in ACC championship history. He was also named to first-team All-ACC honors in 2023 after a stellar season.

Wiggins was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended Midtown High School (formerly known as Grady high school) located in Atlanta. He then transferred to Westlake High School to play out his senior football season. Wiggins played wide receiver and cornerback in high school and also participated in the 2021 All-American Bowl.

After the conclusion of the 2023 college football season, Williams declared for the 2024 NFL draft.
