Nathaniel Wiggins, also known as Nate Wiggins, played his college football for the Clemson Tigers as the cornerback. He started his college football career in 2021 and played for three seasons before declaring for the 2024 draft.

Wiggins only played in four games and saw very little playing time in his first season while also struggling off the field. He recorded two combined tackles and Clemson’s head coach went as far as to call him immature for his lack of professionalism on and off the field. However, Wiggins turned things around in his sophomore season and came in with high expectations for the season. Wiggins did not disappoint. He had 25 solo tackles, four assisted tackles, which combined for 29 total tackles, and had a 98-yard pick six, which is the longest in ACC Championship history. In his final season he posted similar numbers with 29 combined tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, and an interception return touchdown.

For his efforts in 2023, Wiggins was named to First Team All-ACC in 2023 and he also played in the 2022 Orange Bowl, and the 2023 Gator Bowl. Wiggins is a former four-star recruit who played his high school football for Westlake High School for his senior season. Wiggins initially played for Grady High School in Atlanta but switched before his high school year. He played as both a wide receiver and a cornerback in high school but was later recruited as a cornerback. Wiggins was selected to play in the 2021 All-American Bowl at the end of his high school football career and was ranked 7th amongst all cornerbacks across the nation.
