During the 2017 recruiting cycle, he was regarded as a four-star recruit. Later, he continued playing college football at the University of Alabama from 2017 to 2019. Throughout his college football career, he earned numerous accolades including Maxwell and Walter Camp Award, and also won the Polynesian Football Player of the Year title consecutively in 2018 and 2019.
