Graduating as a five-star recruit in 2020, Bijan enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin and was Alamo Bowl MVP as a freshman. Further, he was named the Freshman All-American, and in 2022, he was a Unanimous All-American and Doak Walker Award winner. He was named for the first-team All-Big 12 in 2021 and 2022. Who are Bijan Robinson’s parents?

Bijan Robinson’s parents are LaMore and LaMont Sauls, according to the Austin American-Statesman. However, LaMont is Bijan’s stepfather.

After becoming pregnant with Bijan, LaMore, who was then studying at the Mesa Community College, returned home to raise his kid with the help of her parents, Terri and Cleo Robinson. Thus, Bijan was born on January 30, 2002, and his name means "hero" in Persian. Given that Terri and Cleo basically raised him, Bijan calls them "mom" and "dad," even though they are his maternal grandmother and grandfather, respectively. (via Austin American-Statesman)

Later, LaMore married LaMont Sauls, and Bijan, though he had the option to move to a new home, decided to stay put with his grandparents. Terri said to Fox Sports

"Cleo is the only dad he’s ever known, and what young boy wants to leave their dad?"

According to Robinson's Texas Longhorn biography, Cleo, his grandfather, was named an all-state linebacker and track star. He has been a basketball and football official for about thirty years. He worked as a high school and collegiate on-field/court official in the Pac-10 and Big Sky Conferences before becoming a Pac-12 instant replay official.

Cleo said to Fox Sports,

"I’ve been around so many great athletes officiating college football. Now, it’s kind of shocking to see, ‘Hey, that’s my grandson doing these things now.' He’s that person I’ve been admiring all this time."
