Lucas "Luke" Musgrave is an American football tight end who plays for the Oregon State Beavers. Luke was born in Bend, Oregon and completed his high school education at Bend Senior High School. While in school, Musgrave was part of four sports namely: football, track, lacrosse and ski racing. As a Senior in high school, Luke caught 31 passes for 563 yards and four touchdowns.
In his first 2 seasons with the Beavers, Musgrave didn’t get too much playing time, though as a Sophomore he caught 12 passes for 142 yards. In the 2021 season, he caught 22 passes for 304 yards to go with one touchdown. In 2022, he missed out on most of the season due to injury.
Even though Musgrave hasn’t had too much quality time on the field, he has shown brightly whenever involved. He is an excellent mover with good feet and hips. He is able to switch to a higher gear after turning to mismatch defenders. However, he can still improve his strength. The catch radius for throws out of the frame is not so good. As a draft prospect, Luke is expected to get picked in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
