Brandon Aiyuk

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk plays for the San Francisco 49ers. He was born in Rocklin, California on March 17, 1998. Aiyuk grew up in Reno, Nevada, and has a Cameroonian background. At Robert McQueen High School, he played wide receiver, defensive back, and returned kicks, earning first-team All-Northern Nevada and honorable mention All-State as a senior. He committed to Sierra College in 2016.

Aiyuk started his college football journey at Sierra College, making an impact as a freshman with 29 catches for 573 yards and five touchdowns, earning All-NorCal Conference recognition. He became a Junior College All-American during the 2017 season by recording 60 receptions for 960 yards and 14 touchdowns. Aiyuk also showcased versatility in returning kicks and punts, accumulating 2,499 all-purpose yards and 21 touchdowns, leading to First-Team All-NorCal Conference and All-State honors.

He transferred to Arizona State over other offers. Aiyuk chose the Sun Devils due to their commitment to utilizing him as a wide receiver. It was a position he preferred over being solely a return specialist or potentially transitioning to defense.

The 2023 NFL season has been the best season performance and production-wise for Aiyuk. He had 1,342 receiving yards from 75 receptions which also included 7 receiving touchdowns. He has been an important member of the San Francisco 49ers offense throughout the season and also played a pivotal role in Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs on February 11, 2024. However, as luck would have it, the Chiefs prevailed winning the game 25-22.
