Thomas Jr. had an outstanding season in 2023 and he was named to the Second-team All-SEC in 2023 while also leading the FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) with his 17 receiving touchdowns. He was also named to the 2023 Third-Team All-America (AP) and was Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist in 2023. Thomas Jr. also played in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl and recorded a game-winning 4-yard touchdown to seal the victory.
