Jahan Walte Dotson is an American football wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2024 NFL season. The Washington Commanders selected Datson as the 16th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. At the end of the 2023 NFL season, Dotson recorded 84 receptions and 11 touchdowns over his two seasons with the Commanders (via Pro Football Reference). However, in August 2024, he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, in exchange for a third-round selection and two seventh-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. In the 2024 NFL season, Dotson recorded 19 receptions for 216 yards (via Pro Football Reference).
Dotson initially committed to playing college basketball at UCLA, but later changed his mind and transferred to Penn State Nittany Lions in 2018. According to Sports Reference, he recorded 52 receptions and 8 touchdowns and received third-team All-Big Ten honors in 2020. During his senior season in 2021, he recorded 91 receptions and 12 touchdowns and deservedly received the first-team All-Big Ten honors. Born on March 22, 2000, Dotson started his football career at Nazareth Area High School in Pennsylvania. In high school, he scored 187 receptions, 2755 receiving yards and 40 touchdowns.
