Patrick Mahomes still out as Chiefs host Vikings
The Kansas City Chiefs are once again without starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes for the Week 9 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Mahomes had returned to practice this week, albeit on a limited basis, nearly three weeks after dislocating his right kneecap in a victory over the Denver Broncos.
According to reports, the reigning NFL MVP is "on the cusp" of making a comeback, but that will have to wait until next week's clash with the Tennessee Titans at the earliest.
With Mahomes still sidelined, the Chiefs will once again start Matt Moore, who threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns in the team's loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 8.
