BREAKING NEWS: Bournemouth midfielder Cook out for six-to-nine months
Lewis Cook has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and could be out for up to nine months, Premier League club Bournemouth have confirmed.
The 21-year-old midfielder sustained the injury during the Tuesday's 2-1 win over Huddersfield – a result that lifted the Cherries up to seventh in the table.
Cook won his maiden England cap during March's friendly against Italy before returning to the Under-21 set-up.
He will now miss the rest of the season, ruling him out of contention for the Three Lions' opening Euro 2020 qualifiers and the inaugural Nations League Finals in June.
