The Miami Dolphins and cornerback Bobby McCain agreed to a four-year contract extension, it was confirmed on Friday.

They have agreed to a $27million contract extension, according to a report from ESPN.

McCain will now be the highest paid nickel corner in the league. McCain appeared in all 16 games for Miami last season. He tallied two interceptions and 45 total tackles.

McCain, who played collegiately at Memphis, was selected by the Dolphins in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He has registered 111 total tackles, two sacks and three interceptions in his three-year career.

The Dolphins missed the playoffs last season after finishing with a 6-10 record.
