Ebron signs two-year deal with Colts
The Indianapolis Colts added a playmaker on Monday, announcing a two-year deal with tight end Eric Ebron.
Ebron, the 10th overall pick in the 2014 draft by the Lions, was released by Detroit last week.
He hauled in 61 receptions for 711 yards in 2016, and followed that up with 53 receptions for 574 yards and four touchdowns last season.
Indianapolis already have Jack Doyle on the roster, and he caught 80 passes for 690 yards and four touchdowns last season. It is possible Ebron will see time in the slot this season.
Ebron, not known as a blocker, never lived up to his full potential in Detroit, but he started gaining consistency over the last two years.
